Tier 1 Innovator Founder Visa Eligibility

Requirements for an Endorsement

Your Business Plan

As part of your Innovator Founder Visa Application, you must be endorsed by an Endorsing Body, of which there are around at present 46 who have been approved by the Home Office – UKVI. As part of their assessment, the Endorsing Body will want to know about you and your Business. You must therefore provide:

  • A Business Plan is crucial to a successful endorsement by an Endorsing Body.
  • It should cover your plans for marketing, finances and risk management.
  • The document should involve an analysis of the market and competitors.
  • A poorly drafted Business Plan will often lead to a rejection of an Application for Endorsement.
  • The document should set out information about yourself, your business and why the business is ready for an Endorsement i.e. Innovative, Viable and Scalable.
  • The Business Plan should be concise and straight to the point in clear English

Your CV

  • Your CV gives the Endorsing Body an insight into your background, both academically and professionally
  • It should contain your personal details, a personal profile, employment experience and your educational qualifications.
  • Think of it as an introduction into yourself, so keep it brief.

Tier 1 Innovator Founder Visa UK Requirements

If your application for an Endorsement is successful, you will need to apply for the Innovator Founder Visa to gain lawful entry to the UK. You will be required to demonstrate the following:

  • Your Endorsement is granted by an approved Endorsing Body
  • Your Endorsement Letter is no more than 90 days old at the time of application
  • You are able to prove the source of your funding
  • You genuinely intend to establish your business in the UK
  • You have £1,270 in your bank account for at least 28 days
  • You have passed the English Language Test to at least CEFR Level B2

You need to prove you have the required money in your bank account (or the dependant’s bank account) for at least 90 days before you apply for the Innovator Founder Visa.
