Amer is the founding Director of Cranbrook Legal. With over 10 years’ experience in Immigration Law.He is described by his clients as “passionate”, “extremely knowledgeable” and is “highly recommended”. 

Amer boasts a broad range of clients deriving from multinational corporations to entrepreneurs, high net worth individuals, families and vulnerable people facing persecution and seeking Asylum in the UK.
Amer has a particular interest in assisting technology based organisations moving their operations to the UK and advising on the immigration implications.

Amer has vast experience in all aspects of UK business immigration as well as personal Immigration. Amer is skilled in the points-based system (PBS), including sponsored migrants, innovator/start-up and investor routes.

As well as Business Immigration, Amer has in-depth knowledge of Asylum law and has had notable successes in the past. Clients frequently comment on Amer’s attention to detail and ability to think outside the box when preparing their cases.

During 2019, Amer has been regularly appearing on TV, Radio and National Newspapers often commenting on Immigration related issues. Amer is prominent across social media regularly commenting on the UK’s current immigration policies.

In his role as Director at Cranbrook Legal, Amer oversees all staff and client matters for Cranbrook Legal. He advises on UK immigration with a client base spanning all sectors.

Senior Immigration Caseworker

Tekhmeed leads the casework team at Cranbrook Legal with close to 10 years’ experience in UK Immigration Law. Tekhmeed read law at Middlesex University and is an aspiring Solicitor. Tekhmeed is aiming to qualify as a Solicitor through the recently introduced Solicitor Qualifying Examination (SQE) route.

Over the course of his career, Tekhmeed has helped a number of businesses and business people in achieving their aims to expand their business operations in the UK, whether as an existing UK business looking to hire foreign national workers or foreign national business people who wish to set up their operations in the UK.

Tekhmeed is highly experienced in all matters of UK Immigration Law, including but not limited to all aspects of Business Immigration and Family based Applications.

Zahrah Hussain

Zahrah Hussain

Junior Immigration Caseworker

Zahrah assists both Tekhmeed and Amer in the preparation and submission of Client applications to the Home Office and the Immigration Tribunal. Zahrah read law at the University of Birmingham and is currently studying for the Bar Practice Training Course at the Inns of Court, London.

Zahrah aspires to become a Barrister in the near future and has ear marked UK Immigration Law as an area of law that she would like to practice in.

During her time at Cranbrook Legal, Zahrah has assisted in the preparation and submission of UK Visa Applications for both Personal and Business Immigration Clients from a range of backgrounds.

Yoghta Parkash

Junior Immigration Paralegal

Yoghta recently joined the Cranbrook Team having read Law at the University of London, Royal Holloway and more recently obtained a Postgraduate qualification in Legal Practice from the University of Law. During her studies, Yoghta completed a number of modules in multiple areas of law, including UK Immigration, Family Law and Personal Injury.

Yoghta’s previous experience in both retail and legal sectors has given her real life experience in Client/Customer facing roles which has allowed her to hone her Client Care skills. She is an aspiring Solicitor with a keen interest in establishing a practice in UK Immigration Law.

Yoghta is an able paralegal who prides herself on her organisational and preparatory skills. Yoghta is currently experiencing a broad range of work in both Business and Personal UK Immigration.

Bilalhas recently joined the Cranbrook team having read Law.

Bilal has a range of experience in multiple areas of law and has recently decided to specialise in UK Immigration Law. At Cranbrook’s, Bilal assists in the preparation of business based immigration applications such as Sponsor Licence and Skilled Worker Visas. Bilal also has experience in assisting individuals at the First Tier Tribunal.

Arfan is an experienced litigator and has several years’ experience working for leading law firms in all aspects of County Court work. He has acted for a number of household names in the Insurance industry both on a delegated and referral basis and has developed his knowledge and expertise by acting for Claimants and Defendants from Inception to trial. 

Dispute Resolution/civil litigation
Arfan has expertise in acting for Claimants and Defendants in all aspects of County court work including contractual disputes, Tolata claims, Insurance Litigation, claims for Indemnity, Property Damage claims. Arfan has particular expertise in Interim applications and achieving a successful and commercially viable outcome.
Arfans technical knowledge enables him to swiftly understand the poignant issues in a contentious matter from the outset.
Notable cases include Harbridge v Dempsey, Vlive Turner v Bathroom studios – Determining the correct measure of damages in a claim for repairs to chattel. Drafting advice on the Practice Direction on Pre Action conduct and drafting all pleadings. Successfully defended a number of claims which then lead to the seminal authority of Coles and Others v Hetherton and Others.

Family law/Financial relief/Children law
Arfan covers all aspects of Family law work including divorce, financial relief, Children law, Tolata. Arfan advises on all financial issues arising from the end of a personal relationship.
Arfan advises on all financial issues arising from the end of a personal relationship, whether through divorce, dissolution, separation, children’s needs, or the death of a spouse or partner.Arfan has conducted work in all aspects of family law including:-

  • Drafting divorce proceedings;
  • Advising on response to divorce proceedings;
  • Application for child arrangements orders;
  • Resisting applications for child arrangements order;
  • Financial relief proceedings;
  • Claims under TOLATA;
  • Drafting and advice on Pre-Nup and Post Nup agreements, Cohabitation Agreements and separations Agreements
  • Applications and advice for Non Molestation and Occupation Orders.

Arfan has successfully initiated proceedings for financial a relief and taken cases to final hearings. Divorce Lawyers London, Arfan drafts divorce petitions and provides sound advice to clients to ensure their interests are protected. Child Custody Lawyer, In Children Act proceedings he can initiate the process and resist an application if acting on behalf Respondents to achieve a pragmatic solution.Arfan has successfully concluded proceedings for both Applicants and Defendants.

Personal Injury
Arfan has acted for household names in theInsurance industry in defending Personal Injury claims and drafting advice on Defendingfraudulent claims and claims which appear fundamentally dishonest
Arfan also acts for Claimants in advising and recovering compensation for Personal injury in Road Traffic Accidents, Employers Liability/Public Liability, from inception to trial. Drafting pleadings, drafting witness statements, Issuing county court proceedings, resolving liability and negotiating quantum, Researching authorities where necessary to achieve the optimum result for clients.Arfan conducts claims against the MIB, claims under Rome II and Holiday claims.

Debt recovery
Arfan has acted for individuals and companies in successfully recovering and defendingdebt recovery claims. Recovering invoices and fees for commercial clients.Arfan has knowledge on all aspects of enforcement proceedings.

Costs
Arfan has successfully recovered costs on behalf of Claimants and successfullydefended costs proceedings.Has notable experience and knowledge of claims under the Solicitors Act 1974. Arfan has taken cases from inception to detailed assessment proceedings.

Credit Hire
Arfan was a named individual in defending credit hire claims and advised insurerclients on how to successfullydefend credit hire claim. Arfan has drafted a training manual and presented a seminar on how to Defend Credit hire claims which is available to review upon instruction. Notable cases include AdrainFeraru v Hinton Groundworks Limited whereby he successfully defended a substantial credit hire claims and Eagle v Sprott whereby a claim was successfully defended on the ground that the contract was unenforceable.

Landlord and Tenant
Arfan Has successfully advised Landlords and Tenants on all aspects of residential lettings, including serving notices and eviction proceedings.

Employment Law
Arfan initially started his career in law working for the Employment Law service. Advises on all aspects of Employment Law, Contentious and Non-Contentious matters. Successfully recovered compensation for Clients under the Equality Act 2010 which includes discrimination claims. Notable cases include Khan v Direct Line (Discrimination).

Ahmed is the first port of call for Clients contacting Cranbrook Legal for the first time and assisting them with their initial enquiries. Ahmed obtained a BSc in Economics as well as an MSc in International Financial Management.

Ahmed is an approachable, friendly and compassionate member of the Cranbrook Legal team who is able to quickly identify and offer practical solutions to Clients with immigration concerns. Clients often comment that after speaking with him, they feel at ease as they now have a clear idea of where they stand and what next steps they need to take to achieve their immigration goals.

A keen enthusiast in Immigration law, Ahmed is aspiring to gain further qualification in this field.

Business Development Manager
Hamza joined the team at management level bringing experience of the Indian sub-continent business industry. 

As Business Development Manager, Hamza plays a key role in furthering Cranbrook’s expansion and growth in corporate immigration. Cranbrook’s has achieved phenomenal growth in corporate immigration since the start of 2019. Hamza now plays a key role in developing that growth further.

Since Hamza has joined the team, he has been determined to understand client requirements in order to provide suitable solutions which has been crucial in enabling this growth. His efforts to building relationships with clients has meant that our clients consistently refer friends, family and business associates to us to service their legal needs.

Legal Assistant
Asima works part time under the supervision of Amer. Asima liaises with clients to ensure they are kept up to date with cases. Asima also helps the team prepare applications and appeals on behalf of clients by ensuring all required documents are provided by clients.
