We had previously assisted our client with her application for entry clearance under the spouse visa route to the United Kingdom. She was now seeking to extend her visa under the same route.
When we spoke with our client, we advised that a key requirement within Appendix FM was for an applicant to satisfy the financial requirement of the Immigration Rules. If she failed to meet this requirement, she risked being refused an extension to her spouse visa. Our client, being sponsored by a UK national, therefore had to show she could provide specified documents relating to his income, evidencing how he would be able to financially assist her.
Our client’s spouse worked for an established company. This meant she was able to evidence her husband’s income directly for the financial year through providing us with six months’ payslips from her husband’s company, which we cross referenced with his bank statements.
We ensured we highlighted the specific transactions being paid into the husband’s personal bank account, so that it was made evident to the Home Office how he was meeting the financial requirement.
We prepared the full application and submitted it to be considered on a priority basis.
Through ensuring we met the requirements, we successfully assisted our client in submitting her application, and we were able to book her a biometric appointment. Her application resulted in the Home Office granting her an extension to her spouse visa, without any subsequent enquiries.
