The Context

The client initially applied for an extension of her spouse visa independently, confident in meeting the immigration requirements. However, due to a technicality – failure to provide a full set of bank statements – her application was refused.

With her passport having been retained by the Home Office, she faced uncertainty, potential job loss, and the possibility of having to leave her family and the country.

How We Assisted

Upon being engaged, we immediately took action to rectify the situation. We cooperated with the client’s Member of Parliament (MP) to expedite the return of her passport to the visa appointment centre. Recognising the urgency of her situation, we swiftly booked a premium service appointment, so that she could be sure of receiving a same-day decision.

During this process, we reviewed her application to identify and correct any deficiencies. We provided comprehensive support by gathering all required documents, including a complete set of bank statements and any additional evidence that would strengthen her case.

Furthermore, we prepared the client thoroughly for her appointment, advising her on how to present her case effectively. Throughout this period, we maintained constant communication with the Home Office and the client, making sure all aspects of her application were addressed promptly and accurately. Our proactive approach and attention to detail ensured the application was robust and met all immigration requirements.

Outcome

With our collaborative efforts, the client’s spouse visa extension was approved, sparing her from job loss and family separation. This success underscores the importance of teamwork and proactive advocacy in achieving positive outcomes.
