A Jordanian national was successful with her spouse visa application after struggling with her previous lawyer.
Our client’s husband, a self-employed UK sponsor, approached Cranbrook Legal for help with their spouse visa application. The sponsor’s fluctuating income and complex financial documentation posed a challenge in meeting the financial requirement.
The couple’s previous immigration advisor was struggling to present the application to the Home Office, and they decided that they would take the case to another lawyer. They were recommended to Cranbrook Legal after their friend had seen an ad on Facebook.
We were instructed that our client was introduced to her husband through her family. They spent some time with each other and realised they were compatible with each other for marriage. Given that her husband was a businessman based in the UK, they opted for her to come and join him in the UK. Her husband explained that he is a consultant in the oil industry and was earning well in excess of £18,600.
We provided the couple with a bespoke documents list outlining all the documents needed for the application.
Our team thoroughly reviewed the sponsor’s financial situation and devised a strategy to demonstrate that the income requirement was met. We asked the client’s husband to provide us with documentation about the business, aside from the usual bookkeeping documents.
We compiled a well-structured application, detailing information about the business, its background, nature, and financial stability. We referred to the documents, both mandatory and non-mandatory, which showed how the financial requirement of the Immigration Rules was being met.
The visa application forms were completed together with our legal representations outlining why the visa should be granted.
After a short wait of six weeks, the spouse visa was granted, allowing the couple to settle in the UK together.
